DESCRIPTION: Unoccupied traditional two storey rural house 25min from Yambol, (20 from Elhovo). Located amid a row of houses, on a street at the entrance of the village, the property sits to one side of a 2.350m2 (0.58 acre) plot, that extends east (on a slight gradient) towards the surrounding fields (no man-made constructions obstruct these views). The house follows the typical (3 rooms upstairs - 3 rooms downstairs - connected by an external staircase) formula. Additionally the entrance area on the lower floor is separated from the outside by a glazed area, as is the case with a section of the terrace on the second floor. The house is showing the usual signs associated with lack of maintenance, but these are no different to those that you might find in most rural properties under similar conditions. Blown render, ceilings in need of repair on the second floor, and spots of damp on the walls of the ground floor, that can easy be addressed with a standard rural home renovation (refer to renovation and building work section).
The adobe wall out-buildings in front of the dwelling could be removed/relocated, opening up the patio area to the rest of the property. The garden itself is has a number of established grape vines and fruit trees, together with the ubiquitous mature walnut tree (that in this case grows directly opposite the east facing walls of the house). Its relatively large size also makes it ideal for those interested in keeping animals, or engaging in some sort of agricultural/horticultural pursuit.
The village is a relatively small one (with just under 100 inhabitants, and no foreign residents), but popular with holiday home owners (up to date over 30 houses have been bought by foreigners); and the acceptable number of expats living in the nearby villages, provides the balance between the tranquility of this community and the opportunity to socialize with like-minded people.
